A week long Border Immersion Program is being offered in El Paso Texas to educate participants about boarder issues through shared learning, experience, work and prayer. Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church is organizing to give the opportunity for members and other interested people in the community to attend on November 9-16, 2019.

The Offering of Letters is an annual event scheduled for Sunday April 22, 2018.The congregation compose letters to our congressmen regarding specific legislation impacting people struggling with hunger and poverty. These are offered up with prayer to help support people locally and globally.
Many thanks to everyone who participated in the Thrivent Action Team Bunco event through donations and participation! Through your support, $500 was raised to provide travel support for SOV youth attending the ELCA National Youth Gathering in July, 2018.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2017 Tree of Sharing! We delivered 105 wrapped gifts to six families with 24 children and 9 adults. Helping to sort the gifts and deliver them to the Lake Hazel Elementary School were Vickie Swanson, Pat Stewart, Keith and Bonita Hammer, and Paul Zelus.
