Part-time Youth Director Position

Example of duties:
​• Develop and leads a range of youth activities while engaging with families including:
Leading faith formation groups (separated into age specific groups)
Leading fund-raising activities to support youth outings
Using new and innovative ways to expand our youth ministries

•Educates youth on faith and communicates with families on youth ministries
• Encourages youth group members to be actively involved in SOV
• Supervise youth outings to include volunteer opportunities in the community
• Mentors' youth while fostering growth in their faith
• Develops a culture in the youth groups that encourages personal growth and attracts new families
• Creates a safe space for all youth focused on respect for everyone
• Transporting youth in a church owned vehicle to various activities

Typical qualifications: First and foremost, the Youth Director is a mature, devout follower of Jesus Christ and is committed to our purpose as believers in loving God and loving people. The Youth Director will work with the Pastor, collaborating on methods for and sharing the vision for growth in our youth programs.

The ideal candidate will:
​• Have a passion for spiritual growth and helping youth in their journey
• Have patience, temperament and interpersonal skills that will allow for connecting with youth and to effectively motivate and communicate with a multigenerational congregation
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and personal integrity
• Have quality verbal and writing communication skills
• Be able to pass a criminal background check
